Jeremy Grout-Smith was called to the Bar in 1986 and has a very busy practice in criminal law nearly all of which is prosecution work. He is a Grade 4 Prosecutor. Jeremy also has considerable experience in Person Injury and General Common Law matters.
He regularly deals with cases of murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, rape, commercial fraud and money laundering, large drug conspiracies and causing death by dangerous driving.

R ~v~ Tabassum – indecent assault; a man touching womens’ breasts with their consent on his false representation that he had medical qualifications. Reported in Cr App R328
R ~v~ McKnight – when a jury need not be given a direction on the defence of voluntary intoxication in cases of murder. Reported in The Times May 5 2000.
