Areas of Practice
Adrian has been in practice for over 20 years and was called to the Bar after a successful 12-year career as a solicitor, first in private practice and then as a Principal Crown Prosecutor with the CPS in Manchester.
Adrian is happy to defend or prosecute the whole range of criminal work; drugs, fraud, violence or sexual assault. From the beginning of his time at the Bar he has been briefed both by the Prosecution and Defence in serious and high profile cases and he maintains his position as a senior criminal practitioner. Adrian has been a Grade 4 Prosecutor for a number of years and has prosecuted and defended a number of murders in the last few years and prosecuted to conviction attempted murder cases and gangland shootings.
Adrian has regularly appeared in multi-handed armed robbery, drugs and other conspiracy trials for the Prosecution and defence alike over the last ten years and has always accepted briefs in serious sexual cases.
Copyright theft cases have been a regular feature of Adrian’s diary and, as a result, his expertise has been sought by defendants in IT fraud cases and also by a number of Local Authorities who have used him to advise, prepare and prosecute such cases, which are, typically, investigated by Trading Standards Officers.
With a reputation for hard work and thorough preparation and respected for his effective advocacy, Adrian is always in demand as a very approachable criminal practitioners.
